Covid-19 Response

1. Everyone will be expected to wear masks and sanitize hands upon entering and leaving.
2. Mask may be removed once seated in the pew, but put back on whenever moving around (entering, leaving, etc) or singing. If there are a lot of people, you may want to leave mask on. 
3. Bishop has asked everyone to receive communion in the hand for this time period.  Those wanting to receive on the tongue should go last in line.
4. Social distancing will depend on how many people come.  Fill in every other pew, then start to fill in the empty pews if necessary.  On the far left side of church, while facing the altar,  signs and spacing will remain.  This area is to remain as  pandemic spacing for those who are more comfortable with the 6 ft spacing.
5. There is no offertory procession, no placing of hosts in the ciborium, no collection.  There is a safe in the gathering space and baskets on tables at the head of each aisle.  Ushers will empty baskets after Mass into the safe.
6. We will disinfect only after the 8 AM Mass on Sunday morning and at any Mass that has any activity directly following.  Leave the kneelers down when leaving 8 AM Mass, so cleaners know where to clean.
7.  We need volunteers.   Sign-up to help
   1. A cleaning crew after the 8 AM Mass
   2.  Ushers to greet, sanitize and seat people.  Also watch collection baskets and put contents in safe.  Please help distancing as parishioners leave the church.  Gather and visit outside.
   3. Lectors will read both readings and the petitions.  The Cantor will sing the Responsorial on Sundays from the Cantor podium.  NO procession of the Gospel book at the begining of Mass yet.  
8. If in the past 14 days you are or have been around anyone experiencing the following symptoms, please do not come to church.
   • Shortness of breath
   • Loss of sense of taste or smell
   • Cough
   • Runny Nose
   • Sore Throat
   • Fever
   • Known COVID-19

The Bishop has dispensed the faithful from the obligation to attend Mass on Sunday; however, the faithful are encouraged to perform some other act of devotion if they are not participating in Sunday Mass, such as prayerfully reading and meditating on the Sunday readings.
