Parish Assistance

“Most people have no idea what God would make of them if they would only place themselves at his disposal.” – St. Ignatius Loyola (1491 – 1556, founder of the Jesuits)

“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.

Whoever preaches, let it be with the words of God; whoever serves, let it be with the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ…”  – 1 Peter 4:10-11a

Office Assistant

Parish staff supports the parish administratively. In having a vibrant and active parish they are kept very busy.

Volunteers: Parishioners can assist the staff by entering data and performing other clerical duties. Individuals who like to organize and are comfortable dealing with confidential data, are the ideal volunteers for this position.

Heavenly Dusters

The Heavenly Dusters assist the parish staff by cleaning the church from top to bottom several times each year—usually before Christmas and Easter.

Volunteers: Heavenly Dusters often meet after morning Mass, with the exact time and instructions being posted in the parish bulletin usually one week before the anticipated celebration. Volunteers are asked to bring their dust cloths and to meet other “Dusters” at the church.

St. Gregory’s Parishioners want to be good stewards of our earth by reducing, reusing, recycling materials whenever possible.

Volunteers: Parishioners are needed to haul recyclable items. The parish is also looking for a volunteer to coordinate a recycling program.

Transportation to Mass and Parish Events

St. Gregory’s parish assists parishioners who, although they would like to participant in the Mass or parish activities, have no or limited transportation.

Volunteers: We have a need in our parish for volunteers to provide transportation to and from church or church activities—especially for those who are elderly or disabled. If you have reliable transportation and a generous heart, your services are needed.
